Tonga baskets are crafted in Zambia and Zimbabwe made from natural material that are locally sourced. The primary materials used include: Ilala Palm leaves known for flexibility and durability; Wild Grasses used for adding structural integrity and sometimes for decorative elements; and Dyes from Natural Sources such are roots, bark, and leaves, to create intricate patterns and design.
