Biography of the Artist.
Johnson Kambugu born on the 17th of September 1993 in Mukono Town, Seeta village (Uganda). He is a self-taught expressionist artist and his love for art started as a child as he accompanied his mother to make colours on ceramics vases. He also used to exhibit in different Interantional Schools of Uganda togetherwith his mother. In 2014, he joined Art Tribe Aritst studio in Bweyogerere where he was greatly inspiredto start painting career. Later on he developed his own distinctive style of painting using oil on canvas, acrylic, african fabric collage to give an eye catching visualcreativity in form of painting. His inspiration comes from landscapes, wildlife and imaginative ideas and some of his art works define cultural believes and ways of life in the society. his work has been privately collected and widely exhibited in galleries and group exhibitions in several countries like USA, Germany, Australia, Italy, uk, Kenya, Tanzania and others.
